Review by hotel critic
Our stay at Hotel Ristorante Milano in Bad Tölz was a delightful surprise. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the charming town, allowing us to easily stroll to the picturesque Old Town with its stunning "Lüftlmalerei"-decorated houses and inviting shops. The proximity to the marketplace and the railway station made exploring the area a breeze, and we even found a fantastic Döner place nearby that we couldn't resist. The warm welcome we received from Irene, our lovely host, set the tone for a fantastic visit. Her local insights and recommendations truly enhanced our experience. The room was clean and cozy, providing a comfortable retreat after our adventures in the breathtaking Bavarian landscape surrounding Bad Tölz. And having a spacious room for our child was a major plus, making his stay just as memorable as ours. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the authentic dining experience at the hotel's cozy restaurant. From classic Italian dishes to international specialties, every meal was a treat for the taste buds. And let's not forget the cool Bavarian beer enjoyed under the blue and white skies, adding an extra touch of Bavarian charm to our evenings. The only downside was that some areas, like the bathroom, could benefit from a bit of renovation. We felt truly at home, thanks to the welcoming atmosphere and the friendly staff. We left with memories of laughter, good food, and the beauty of Bavaria, already looking forward to returning. For anyone looking for an authentic Bavarian getaway, this family-run hotel is a hidden gem worth exploring.
